Early Enthusiasm for Science: Primary School Classes Visit Our Institute

This month, we were pleased to welcome several 4th-grade classes from the nearby Josephine-Grundschule to our institute. As part of their practical studies, the children gained valuable insights into the world of polymers as well as into everyday research work.

The children explored our laboratories and technical facilities in small groups, gaining first-hand experience with polymers, composite materials and lightweight construction, polymer processing, 3D printing and the glass fiber spinning facility.

Student visits like these make an important contribution to early STEM education and help spark long-term interest in science and research.

We would like to thank all colleagues involved for their commitment to organizing the school visits: Prof. Dr.-Ing. Christina Scheffler, Rudi Reichenbächer, Dr. Lars Bittrich, Erik Schön, Simon Groll
