IPF an zwei Exzellenzcluster-Initiativen der TU Dresden in der finalen Auswahlrunde beteiligt
Zwei der drei neuen Exzellenzcluster-Initiativen der TU Dresden (TUD) und ihrer Partner, die zur Vollantragstellung aufgefordert wurden (www.dfg.de/pressemitteilung-EXC), sind eng mit dem Leibniz-Institut für Polymerforschung Dresden (IPF) verbunden:
- Das Exzellenzcluster CARE – Climate-Neutral and Resource-Efficient Construction will klimafreundliche Baumaterialien, Konstruktionsprinzipien und Produktionstechnologien einsetzen, um ressourceneffizientes Bauen zu fördern. Die Sprecher sind Viktor Mechtcherine (TUD) und Martin Claßen (RWTH Aachen). Seitens des IPF wirkt Christina Scheffler (zum 1. Februar 2024 neu berufen auf die gemeinsame Professur für Polymere im Bauwesen) mit.
- Im Exzellenzcluster REC² – Responsible Electronics in the Climate Change Era sollen neue Materialplattformen, Bauteilkonzepte und integrierte Systeme für eine nachhaltige Elektronik entwickelt werden. Sprecherin ist Yana Vaynzof (TUD und Leibniz-Institut für Festkörper- und Werkstoffforschung Dresden). Das IPF ist durch die Mitwirkung von Andreas Fery (Vizesprecher), Ivan Minev, Franziska Lissel und Christoph Tondera beteiligt.

IPF involved in two TU Dresden Cluster of Excellence initiatives in the final selection round
Two of the three new Cluster of Excellence initiatives of the TU Dresden (TUD) and its partners, which have been invited to submit full proposals (www.dfg.de/press-release-EXC), are closely linked to the Leibniz Institute of Polymer Research Dresden (IPF):
- The Cluster of Excellence CARE – Climate-Neutral and Resource-Efficient Construction aims to promote resource-efficient construction by using climate-friendly building materials, construction principles and production technologies. The spokespersons are Viktor Mechtcherine (TUD) and Martin Claßen (RWTH Aachen). Christina Scheffler (newly appointed to the joint professorship for Polymers in Construction on February 1, 2024) is involved on behalf of the IPF.
- The Cluster of Excellence REC² – Responsible Electronics in the Climate Change Era aims to develop new material platforms, component concepts and integrated systems for sustainable electronics. The spokesperson is Yana Vaynzof (TUD and Leibniz Institute for Solid State and Materials Research Dresden). The IPF is involved through the participation of Andreas Fery (vice speaker), Ivan Minev, Franziska Lissel, and Christoph Tondera.
