IPF Researchers at JEC World in Paris

A team from the IPF is currently at JEC World in Paris at the Saxony joint booth organized by the Wirtschaftsförderung Sachsen GmbH. They are showcasing the institute’s expertise in functional reinforcement fibers, optimized lightweight structures, and sustainable construction materials.
At the booth, the AVK Award 2025-winning demonstrator “Spatial CFRP structural design from flat TFP preforms,” developed in collaboration with the ELBFLORACE Formula Student Team TU Dresden e.V., is on display. Additionally, the IPF is presenting its “Novel composite machine tool sledge,” created together with several industry partners.
A highlight of the event was the visit of State Minister Dirk Panter, who engaged in discussions with the team on the growing importance of composite materials for future industrial and sustainable applications. The Lightweight Stool L1 particularly attracted his attention.
Overall, IPF’s presence at JEC World underlines its role in advancing next-generation composite technologies.
