MBrace at the Open Government District Day in Dresden

On Sunday, September 6, 2026, the M-BRACE research project took center stage at the Tag des Offenen Regierungsviertels (Open Government District Day) at the Sächsisches Staatsministerium für Wissenschaft, Kultur und Tourismus (SMWK) in Dresden. The event provided a unique platform for researchers, designers, and engineers to engage with the public and showcase advancements in medical technology. Representatives from the Leibniz Institute of Polymer Research (IPF), Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Dresden (HTWD), and Institute of Biomedical Engineering (IBMT) at the Technische Universität Dresden, presented the MBrace demonstrator, offering visitors and ministry staff an in-depth look at the innovative technologies and design approaches behind the project. The MBrace initiative shows how interdisciplinary collaboration can lead to groundbreaking solutions in medical technology. A highlight of the day was the opportunity to discuss the MBrace demonstrator with Saxony’s Minister of Science, Sebastian Gemkow, who engaged in detailed conversation with project team member Sascha Bruk. The project team expressed their gratitude to the SMWK for the invitation and to everyone who contributed to the lively discussions.
