Abstract Surface-initiated Kumada catalyst-transfer polycondensation of poly(9,9-dioctylfluorene) (PFO) was performed from organosilica microparticles that resulted in PFO brushes with densely grafted PFO chains with a significantly enhanced propensity to adopt planar and ordered conformations (-phase).
