Title Synthesis of dendronized diblock copolymers using a facile attach-to click approach

Abstract POLY 446 - Efficient Chemical Transformations in Polymer Chemistry: Click Chemistry and Beyond <br /><br />In this communication we would like to present a straight forward synthesis of dendronized diblock copolymers. We prepared alkyne containing diblock copolymers of varying composition by NMP. These materials were characterized by narrow molecular weight distributions and a good controll over the molecular weight. Subsequently, the alkyne groups in one block were quantitatively reacted with dendritic azides under ambient conditions using the versatility of click chemistry. The phase separation of the dendronized diblock copolymers was investigated.
