Alexander von Humboldt Professorship Awarded to Sahika Inal in Berlin

On May 12, 2026, the Federal Minister for Research, Technology and Space, Dorothee Bär, and the president of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, Robert Schlögl, presented the Alexander von Humboldt Professorships in Berlin.
Among the seven recipients was Sahika Inal, a globally recognized expert in bioelectronic materials. Currently based at the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, her research bridges materials science, biology, and electronics through the integration of molecular materials design, device engineering, and biomedical applications.
In January 2027, Sahika Inal will join the TU Dresden and IPF, where her expertise is expected to further strengthen Dresden’s position as a global hub for bioelectronics research.
