Title Dewetting of Confined Diblock Copolymer Films

Abstract Nanostructured polymer surfaces resulting from the dewetting in the final phase of the spin-coating process are investigated in the model system poly(styrene–block–isoprene). The surface topography is determined with atomic–force microscopy (AFM). It is well characterized by droplets as a typical dewetting morphology. From the combination of grazing incidence small and ultrasmall angle scattering the internal order inside the nanostructures is determined. A periodic arrangement of the diblock copolymers resulting from a microphase separation process is observed. The characteristic distance increases as compared with the bulk periodic structure.
