This cover illustrates the internal architecture of a DNA-crosslinked cell-culture matrix (DyNAtrix). Dynamically switchable DNA crosslinks regulate mechanical interactions between living cells and their three-dimensional microenvironment. Leveraging DNA nanotechnology, DyNAtrix allows researchers to study cellular mechanotransduction and to actively guide the development of cells and organoids in a Petri dish.
