What

Technology Platforms are cross-divisional initiatives focused on specific technological capabilities, organizing existing tools and knowledge to help researchers quickly access expertise, infrastructure, and support.

1. Applied Surface Engineering (ASE)

2. Cross-scale Polymer Processing (CPP)

3. Polymer & Materials Analyses (PMA)

4. Material Data Science (MDS)

Why

To unlock the full potential of IPF’s diverse expertise and equipment, we need structures that foster collaboration, transparency, and shared access. Technology Platforms enable this by connecting people, methods, and machines across departments.

How do they Work?

Each platform is coordinated by a dedicated team and organized into thematic clusters. Platforms:

- maintain databases of equipment and methods

- offer booking and data tools

- facilitate internal and external collaborations

- support knowledge transfer and training

Together, they form a growing, institute-wide ecosystem of shared innovation.
