IPF Laboratory Receives Platinum Certification for Sustainability
The hemocompatibility laboratory at the IPF has received Platinum certification under the My Green Lab program.
My Green Lab is an internationally recognized certification program that supports research laboratories in reducing their environmental impact and using resources more responsibly. It focuses on energy and water consumption, waste reduction, and the sustainable use of materials and consumables.
As part of the program, the hemocompatibility laboratory has implemented a range of practical measures, including refillable pipette tip systems, the reuse of materials and packaging wherever possible, and digital workflows to reduce paper consumption. More responsible use of disposable gloves and targeted measures to lower energy and water consumption further support sustainable laboratory practices.
Efforts to obtain My Green Lab certification are also underway in other laboratories at the IPF, contributing to the gradual adoption of more resource-efficient laboratory operations across the institute.
