Abstract
|
PMSE 330 - The 232nd ACS National Meeting, San Francisco, CA, September 10-14, 2006

Selective localization of all the CNTs at an interface instead of a homogeneous dispersion within the whole composite volume constitutes an alternative way to conductive materials with low content of CNTs if only surface conductivity is sufficient. Such conductive coatings can be suitable for use as transparent electrodes, for electromagnetic interference shielding, heat and static charge dissipation, and field-emission sources. This communication aims at using MWNTs modified by poly(2-vinylpyridine) (P2VP) for the preparation of ultra-thin films and at investigating their morphology, conductivity and transparency.
