Abstract
|
The electrical stability of organic thin film transistors (OTFTs) based on 6, 13-bis(triisopropylsilylethynyl) (TIPS) pentacene were improved by blending poly(a-methylstyrene) (PaMS) binder with the TIPS-pentacene. The blended semiconducting film is vertically phase-separated, which forms a TIPS-pentacene rich region at top surface due to its lower surface energy than PaMS, inducing interface modification at semiconducting layer and dielectric layer. The modified interface induces an increase in charge current density and a decrease in charge trap density, leading to efficiently reduced electrical hysteresis and increased field-effect mobility.
