Dynamic network systems (Self-healing elastomers)

Self-healing has emerged to be a challenging area of research that enables us to repair and control the damage of a lifeless object by implementing the knowledge of rational design and material science.

Transformation of commercially available elastomers by simple technique can give us a unique opportunity to develop rubber compounds with self-healing nature.

Relying on intrinsic self-healing mechanism, we exercise to enhance the efficiency of self-healing in commercial rubber system by establishment of network involving dynamic bonds, ionic aggregation, hydrogen bond formation etc.
