Abstract
|
An effective and simple spectroscopic method is proposed for determining the degree of filling and porosity of polymeric materials and the distribution of the filler particle or pore size in the polymer matrix is proposed and consists of separation and analysis of absorbing and scattering components of the radiation falling on the sample. The possibilities and advantages of the spectroscopic approach in comparison to visual methods of optical and electron microscopy are demonstrated on a wide range of objects (track membranes, porous xerogel films, polymer composites and blends, etc.).

Translated from Khimicheskie Volokna, No. 3, pp. 63–71, May–June, 2008.
