In January 2017, the Leibniz Institute of Polymer Research Dresden e.V. committed itself to the EU Commission to begin the certification process (Letter of Endorsement). Based on a thorough analysis (gap analysis), an Action Plan was prepared and submitted to the European Commission for review in 2017. The measures laid down in the action plan will be implemented step by step and the associated achievement of objectives will be evaluated internally after 2 years and externally after 4 years following receipt of the certificate "HR Excellence in Research".
