Abstract
|
PMSE 283 - Facing climate change and fossil fuels running short, the research on solar cells containing donor-acceptor block copolymers is highly promising. Being used as surfactants in blended bulk heterojunction solar cells, they promise long-term stability and good morphological properties. Much effort has been made tuning the conjugated block as it is the one sensitive to absorbed light. Nevertheless, thorough investigations have been undergone for the second block as well. Hence, we studied several ways to functionalize styrene based copolymers with fullerene and investigate their structure, properties, and the amount of C60 incorporated. The optimization is our final goal as they are further on intend to be attached to a second p-conjugated block, e.g. poly-3-hexylthiophene.
