The IPF-Division Biofunctional Polymer Materials comprises research groups and research associates working to implement features of living matter into man-made materials (for details click on the list of subjects listed below). Emphasis is put on
- Charging and Structure Formation at Bio-Interfaces: to analyze and control ionic charge, supramolecular structure and bioadhesion
- Hemocompatible Interfaces: to explore blood-materials interactions and develop new strategies for anticoagulant coatings
- Matrix Engineering: to design and apply polymer matrices for regenerative therapies
