Sensors, Actuators, Tribo- & Piezoelectric Generators

Based on the studies carried out in our laboratory over the past few years, we garnered significant expertise on the amorphous to crystalline phase transformation of some specific organic and inorganic fillers into a rubber matrix.

Following the detailed understanding and manipulation of phase structure in the matrix, we can, therefore, effectively control the final mechanical performance of rubber composites.

A part of the group’s research interest is directed precisely toward the development of electroactive elastomers (dielectric elastomers, triboelectric and piezoelectric rubber composites) that can be utilized as actuators, tactile sensors and energy harvesting materials.
