As a member of the Graduiertenkolleg 1865 “Hydrogel-based Microsystems” he is engaged in the development of enzymatic reactions in/on hydrogels in microfluidic systems and the establishment of responsive hydrogels in biosensing.

Fields of Activity

  • Synthesis of hydrogels for storage in sensor chips for blood sugar diagnostics
  • Reversible/permanent functionalization of responsive hydrogels with one or more immobilized enzymes in parallelized/serial-connected micro channels to preform simple model reactions or reaction cascades
