Title Schmelzspinnen mit Doppelschneckenextruder. Teil I: Technologische Voraussetzungen und Ziele
Date 17.10.2000
Number 8315
Melt Spinning on Twin Screw Extruder Part 1: Technological Requirements and Targets
In the man made fibre industry melt spinning by means of a twin screw (TS-) extruder has been hardly investigated and practised yet. In this first paper it is demonstrated that the coupling of a TS-extruder and a melt spinning head is one opportunity to secure the spinnability of modified polymers. Especially it is possible to integrate a reactive extrusion in the melt spinning process by means of a TS-extruder. The technological goals to develop such a coupled process, the occuring automatic control problems and their solution are presented.
