Process-integrated surface modification during injection molding
The one-time introduction of energy to melt a plastic resin can be used to also initiate chemical reactions. This permits bonding of an ultra-thin layer of a functional polymer to the surface of the molded part. In this way, process-integrated surface modification during injection molding becomes possible.
