Flocculation and binding properties of highly substituted cationic starches
The flocculation properties of a series of cationic starches with the substitution degree of 0.25–1.54 in kaolin dispersions were studied, and the dependence of the kaolin retention with fiber on the surface content of starch, degree of its substitution, and amylose: amylopectin ratio was evaluated.
