Fields of Work
Polyolefine based nanostructures
- Controlled metallocene catalyzed polymerization, e.g. copolymerization of propene with polar comonomers and synthesis of polar macromonomers
- Kinetic studies by monitoring of the reaction process using "real-time" ATR-FTIR spectroscopy in collaboration with co-workers from the Department of Analytics
- Structure-properties relationships of synthesized propene copolymers using of different analytical methods
- Synthesis of polypropylene nanocomposites by in situ polymerization
Aims of this topic are:
Generation of activated polypropene surfaces or interfaces in blends, polymer composites, and multilayer films by polar modification of polyolefin in particular of polypropylene
Looking for potential applications of polyolefin copolymers as compatibilizers for inorganic nanoparticles or as emulsifiers
