  • 1988 Finishing work of diploma on "Electrokinetic investigations of aerosil surfaces and aerosil-triarylmethyl halide adsorbates in organic media", supervisors Prof. G. Heublein (Jena), Prof. H.-J. Jacobasch (Dresden) and Prof. S. Spange (Chemnitz)
  • 1988-1991 Research student at the Friedrich Schiller University, working on polymer reactions on surfaces, electrokinetic investigations, investigations of interface and surface properties of pure and modified fillers, cationic polymerization on surfaces, material design
  • 1991 Working in the Centre of Materials Research of the Daimler-Benz AG, working on polymer reactions on surfaces and investigations of the role of polymers in ceramic processes
