Doris Pospiech is chemist and scientific coworker at the IPF-Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry. She is head of the Department of Polymer Structures (PS). She teaches at the Technical University of Dresden, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, and at the University of Applied Sciences Dresden (HTW) as private lecturer. She supervises bachelor, master and PhD students.
Research fields
Design of new polymers, hybrids and nanocomposites with tailor-made properties on the base of well-understood structure-property relationships
Synthesis of new polymers by anionic, controlled radical and radical polymerization, and polycondensation:
- Nanostructured block copolymers as template for the arrangement of nanoparticles and for nanostructured surfaces
- Semifluorinated copolymers
- Polymers for Organic electronics (dielectrica and semiconducting polymers, in collaboration with Dr. A. Kiriy and cfaed)
- Copolymers with biocide function for anti-biofouling coatings
- Flame retardant polyesters
- Biobased polyesters and polyester nanocomposites
Polypropylene nanocomposites:
- thermally conductive PP
- Polyolefine separator membrane characterization and modification
