Biobased Polymers

A big challenge of modern chemical research is the replacement of common petrol based chemicals or polymers by bio-based materials as well as the preparation and use of chemical commodities based on renewable resources. The work in PS is focused on the use and modification of bio-based chemicals:

  • Copolyesters from biobased dicarboxylic acids and diols (succinic acid, furane dicarboxylic acid, propane diol, butane diol). Tuning of properties by in-situ synthesis of nanocomposites, synthesis of phosphorus-containing copolyesters
  • Development of reaction resins with a relatively large amount of biobased components

Project 04'2019 - 03'2022: "Biobased resin components for the sustainable development of fastening technologies in the construction industry", funded by Bundesministerium für Ernährung und Landwirtschaft (BMEL), project executing organization "Fachagentur Nachwachsende Rohstoffe" (FNR), FKZ-22011618

Former Project (2014 - 2017):
Biobased resins for chemical anchor systems", funded by BMEL, project executing organization FNR, FKZ-22032312
